Magnet printing splits into two kinds of customer at our counter, a contractor who wants his logo and phone number on a set of car door magnets, and a business owner who wants a stack of small fridge magnets to hand out at a fair or leave at a customer's front desk. Both run through the same digital press and the same magnetic sheet stock, so the turnaround does not change much between the two. A Van Nuys contractor came in for a set of 12 by 24 inch door magnets and had them on his truck before lunch, which is the pace most magnet orders move at once the file is approved.

Car door magnets typically run 12 by 18 or 12 by 24 inches, thick enough to sit flat on a door panel without curling in the heat, and we can round the corners so they do not catch on a wash brush. Fridge and business card size magnets run smaller, usually 3.5 by 2 inches or a custom shape if you supply a die line. We print full color on the magnetic stock directly, so the finish holds up outdoors on a truck the same way it holds up stuck to a refrigerator in a kitchen.

The file issue that comes up most on magnet orders is a logo built for a business card that gets stretched wide for a door panel and starts looking blurry or pixelated. We check resolution before anything prints and will tell you plainly if a logo needs to be rebuilt at a larger size, rather than print something you will be unhappy with once it is on the truck. A PDF proof goes out either way, and nothing runs until you sign off on it, whether the order is two magnets or two hundred.

Same day means files in by 10 AM and magnets ready by 3:30 PM most afternoons.. There is no minimum order, so a single set of two door magnets for one truck gets handled the same as a batch for a whole fleet. We deliver anywhere in the Valley, including Encino, Sherman Oaks, Tarzana and Woodland Hills, on the afternoon van that leaves the shop around 2 PM on most weekdays, rain or shine.

Contractors are the biggest magnet order we run, and most of them come in already knowing the size of the panel they are covering, which makes the job quick. We will measure against a photo of the door if you send one, and size the magnet with enough margin that it looks intentional rather than stretched edge to edge. If your logo file is a low resolution export from a website, we will rebuild it at print size in house before it goes to press, so the final magnet reads sharp from across a parking lot instead of soft up close.

Fridge and giveaway magnets are a smaller print but the same process, a PDF proof before anything runs and a same day turnaround if the file is in by 10 AM. Restaurants order these for delivery menus stuck to a customer's fridge, and offices order them as a quick way to keep a phone number in front of a client. No minimum order applies here either, so a first run of a dozen to test how they look and feel is a normal request, not an odd one.

We do not require an account or a card on file for a magnet quote, and your file stays on record once you have ordered, so a reorder before the next season is a text with the quantity you need. Pickup is at the counter on Ventura Blvd with free parking in front, and Valley delivery covers Encino, Sherman Oaks, Studio City and the rest of the Valley on the afternoon van, so a fleet order does not mean a separate trip out to us for every single truck.

Car and fridge magnets need artwork built for a specific finished shape, usually a rectangle with rounded corners for a car door magnet, and the most common mistake is a file designed as a plain rectangle that does not account for how much gets trimmed off at the corners. We overlay the die shape on the file before printing and flag any text or logo sitting too close to a corner that will be rounded off. The second issue is contrast, since a magnet needs to read from a distance on a moving vehicle or across a kitchen, and low contrast between text and background that looks fine up close disappears from ten feet away.

We will point out when a phone number or business name is too small or too low contrast for the magnet's actual use case, even if it was not flagged as a concern by the customer. Contractors are our steadiest magnet customers, using car door magnets as rolling advertising while they work jobs across Encino, Sherman Oaks, Van Nuys and the rest of the Valley. Magnet stock also affects how well it holds to a car door in weather, and we default to a thicker magnetic sheet built to survive sun and washing rather than the thinner promotional grade some templates assume.
